I'm digging these. This smoothie is the perfect afternoon slump pick-me-up, and perfect pre or post yoga.
It's so simple. For one smoothie you will need:
+ 1 banana (frozen is best)
+ 1 whole pitted date (optional for extra sweetness and yummy bits at the bottom of the glass!)
+ 1tbsp Cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
+ 3/4 cup milk of choice (almond or coconut works well, I used coconut)
+ 1/4 cups raw beets OR 2tbsp beet powder - available from good whole food stores)
+ Dash of vanilla essence
Blend baby! & enjoy right away.
